Jersey Business is delighted to share the latest developments from our Export Support Service Group for 2024. Our team has been actively engaging with key figures and businesses to strengthen and expand Jersey's export capabilities.
In a significant meeting held on February 2nd, we had the pleasure of spending time with the Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, the UK Minister for Trade Policy, along with representatives from Jersey Finance, Digital Jersey, and a variety of local businesses involved in exporting services and products.
Our commitment to understanding the current landscape of Jersey's export business led us to conduct an extensive evaluation, reaching out to 163 businesses across fourteen sectors. We extend our gratitude to all participants who provided valuable data and insights.
The Export group's efforts included tours of exporting businesses, such as Genuine Jersey, Jersey Royal growers, and Jersey Dairy. These visits have been instrumental in learning directly from the teams and addressing day-to-day challenges.
Our commitment to the Export Strategy Vision is to enhance the diversity and value of Jersey's exports. Collaborating with established exporters addresses current challenges and, by extension, lowers entry barriers for new exporters. Measuring the outcomes of these efforts is vital to ensure they align with our strategic goals of broadening export variety and increasing economic value.
Jersey Business continues to offer practical experience, tools, and advice to support businesses at various stages of growth. Our focus on export productivity is reflected in the resources available through.
